Masked kidnappers from the Terminal Island staging area violently detain and illegally arrest Unión del Barrio member Amanda Trebach

Los Angeles, CA | At approximately 6:00 am this Friday, at least 6 unidentified kidnappers violently detained Unión del Barrio member Amanda Trebach while she was on a community patrol outside the Terminal Island staging area in San Pedro, California.
Amanda is a U.S. citizen, and as of 6:00 pm on August 8, 2025, the federal government has not released any information regarding Amanda’s kidnapping, or her well-being. She is a nurse who serves the communities of Watts, Compton, and South Central LA, and she did not break ANY laws. As is her constitutional right, Amanda was documenting the movements of the masked kidnappers. She never threatened or assaulted anyone. She is a political prisoner, because she committed no crime and was arrested simply because of her political activism.

Let’s recap the history of what has been happening:
First they disappeared students on student visas and a few green card holders, accused them of supporting terrorists
Shortly after the disappearances of undocumented immigrants who had prior interactions with the legal system started(warrants, arrests, charges, etc.)
Then more broad racial profiling sweeps in Los Angeles started.
In the last month they’ve started arresting activists on the pretense of interference with police activities.
Now they’ve snatched an activist at 6am. This happened at their one of their staging areas.
A staging area is where they’ll gather with their vehicles and gear and get a morning brief of who they’ll target for disappearance that day. Then they’ll gear up and head out to terrorize the community.
You can see in this video that they don’t have their gear on. You can see their plate carriers staged in the van that the woman is pushed into. One doofus is covering his face with his t-shirt, reminiscent of Beavis and Butthead.
There’s no pretense here of interference. They weren’t actively pursuing suspects or arresting undocumented immigrants. They didn’t like that she was recording and exposing their activity in the staging area, so they arrested her.
This wasn’t happening just one month ago. During the initial escalations in Los Angeles remember community members and activists filmed ICE and yelled at them and faced no reprisals, because exercising your first amendment rights is not justification for arrest.
What we’re seeing today is a further dangerous escalation. The gestapo secret police aren’t deciding for themselves to target US citizens and activists. Those are orders being passed down from their chain of command.
This is a sign that their reign of terror is about to spread more broadly to community members and activists. Which, anyone who has studied history knew this would happen from the very beginning. We knew that this wasn’t going to stop at undocumented immigrants. That the secret police getting billions in funding wasn’t going to stop at immigrants.
But here’s the tangible proof that their target lists are expanding.
The question now isn’t if your name will appear on their list, but when, and what will you do when the gestapo come for you.
Every person who is kidnapped and held with no charges and then thrown back out into the public by this Nazi administration should sue for $100 million each. There’s grand juries throwing out case against kidnapping victims because the nazi agents are perjuring themselves in court. The administration lawyers and brown shirts lie, get caught and case dismissed.
