This is an excerpt from a book I am writing. Please subscribe, I plan to write daily. And any feedback you have is much appreciated. Writing in this “live” format with instant feedback gives me much more motivation to maintain the practice. I really appreciate your participation in the creation of this book.
I’ll try to keep today’s writings more brief. I have a massive backlog of videos to produce. It is truly insane how much news breaks daily. In any Democrat administration any single one of these pieces of breaking news would have been enough to cause impeachment proceedings yet we see no action by the GOP congress. After all this is over we need to hold accountable every single one of these traitors who enabled this tyranny from top to bottom. Every single person needs to face consequences to the maximum extent of the law from congress and the senate all the way down to the individual citizen traitors.
This flooding of heinous news is not an accident. It is laid out in the right-wing manifesto Project 2025 and Steve Bannon.
"The opposition party is the media," Steve Bannon, who helped run Trump's 2016 campaign, told PBS Frontline five years ago. "And the media can only — because they're dumb and they're lazy — they can only focus on one thing at a time."
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk at President Trump's inauguration ceremony on Jan. 20. Trump has tasked Musk with leading a team focused on cutting costs in the government.
Politics
Elon Musk is barreling into government with DOGE, raising unusual legal questions
So the solution, per Bannon? Overwhelm them.
"All we have to do is flood the zone," he said. "Every day we hit them with three things. They'll bite on one, and we'll get all of our stuff done, bang, bang, bang. These guys will never — will never be able to recover. But we've got to start with muzzle velocity." -NPR
The strategy is working. Even in my own work I find myself overwhelmed with the amount of information to talk about and I don’t know where to even begin. To that end I am implementing a new discipline. I will focus on two main issues. Those related to the outdoors and hikers and topics related to the danger posed by white supremacist terrorist cells. If you’re unfamiliar with me, I am an avid hiker having hiked over 20,000 miles since 2016. Most notably I completed a Calendar Year Triple Crown, hiking 7,400 miles averaging 25.5 miles a day for 290 days in 2022. I never used to talk about politics. Until a tyrant got elected to the White House.
I find myself fixated on the issue of white supremacist militias, or as I will start calling them from now on, white power terrorist cells because that’s what they truly are. I see no greater threat to the future of our nation and the safety of our citizens than these Christian nationalist terrorist cells.
I think the danger is so clear to me because I’ve been part of many organizations that these white supremacist terrorists like to frequent and so have had many more run-ins with them than the average person. Folks, these guys are nuts. Their lives are miserable. They have no hope for a better future. Their entire focus is to enact the suffering they feel inside onto everyone else around them.
I was a US Army infantryman. I’m certain I’ve served with white supremacists. My former First Sergeant has attacked me on several occasions over my Facebook posts denouncing the trump regime. Several people I served with now work with ICE and CBP.
Coast Guard Lieutenant Christopher Hasson spent five years in the Marine Corps and two years in the Army National Guard before entering the Coast Guard. During that time, at his enlistment ceremonies, promotions, and when commissioned as an officer he undoubtedly swore an oath to “…support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” But Hasson violated that oath. On Feb. 15, 2019, he was arrested on drug and firearm charges while serving at Coast Guard headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Soon it was discovered that unauthorized weapons were just the tip of the iceberg. Hasson was also a self-described white nationalist. He was an admirer of far-right terrorist Anders Breivik — just like Brenton Tarrant, an Australian white supremacist who has been charged with 50 counts of murder for his attack on a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand. Both had carefully studied Breivik’s 1,500-page manifesto, which he had used to justify two attacks that resulted in the death of over 70 Norwegian civilians in 2011. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/inside-u-s-military-s-battle-white-supremacy-far-right-ncna1010221
White supremacists in the US military have been a problem since the (first)civil war. But now we have a SecDef who has four different white power tattoos! I’m just a random guy without any training in military policy regarding combating extremist elements but even I can see how this might accelerate the rise of white supremacy within the ranks of the military.
An active-duty serviceman in the US army is openly following a proscribed neo-Nazi terrorist group on social media, one that has vowed to recruit soldiers in preparation for a so-called race war.
Experts say examples like this shows how under Pete Hegseth, the Pentagon is allowing extremism to go unchecked.
But in February, the Department of Defense issued a memo halting a major counter-extremism initiative rooting out white nationalists and far-right influences among servicemen, citing that it was not in line with Donald Trump’s executive orders. Since, the efficacy of rooting out the far right within the ranks remains unclear.
In the wake of the January 6 insurrection on Capitol Hill and early revelations that at least 151 of those attackers had a military background, the Pentagon issued a historic stand-down order and created a working group on extremism.

I’ve been training in combat sports off and on since 2009. My first foray was at an American Top Team location in Columbia, MO. I joined after I enlisted in the Army. My thought process was that I wanted to impress my fellow soldiers and especially the drill sergeants at basic training with my combat prowess. Honestly, as cringe as that is, that was my motivation. It wasn’t about being better physically or mentally prepared. I just wanted to look cool and stand out at basic.
This was a recurring theme of my early adult life. I had an overwhelming desire to prove myself worthy. Of what? I had no conscious clue. But in retrospect I’m sure what I was searching for was love and a feeling of acceptance.
When I signed up for the Army all I could picture was going to my 20th high school reunion wearing my dress uniform, which would be decorated with all my different war medals and include my Ranger tab and Special Forces tab and combat jump wings and combat infantryman’s badge(I would never actually earn any of these awards). This was a recurring fantasy. For some reason I had this deep deep need to prove myself worthy to my high school classmates. What a dumb reason to sign up for a job that involves killing people for the interests of the US government eh?
It’s actually my 20th high school reunion this year. I will not be attending, because I do not think I will be safe if I return to America. I am in self-exile in Europe. Also, if I attended, there’s a good chance I’d get into a fist fight with some of my MAGA classmates. It’s a small consolation to know that with the level of training I have now I’d kick their asses.
I was 29 when I hiked through the Grayson Highlands on the Appalachian Trail. That afternoon a repressed memory resurfaced of my father sitting me on his lap in the airport before I boarded the plane for America and telling me he loved me and to forgive him. This memory brought with it a flood of emotions. Grief and sadness at having lost my whole family. A deep longing for love and connection. A hollow, empty feeling in my heart where there should have been love and a sense of belonging. And it brought clarity.
I realized that up until that point I’d been unconsciously seeking the approval of male authority figures. On the conscious level I’d joined the Army to pay for my Masters degree and to serve my country and gain the skills so that I could resist a tyrannical government if it ever came to it.
But I don’t think we make any decisions based on logic. Our decisions come about because of our deep unconscious desires and emotions, and then our logical conscious mind makes up reasonable sounding justifications out of thin air and ties a neat little bow on our unconscious, emotional decisions in order to make them acceptable to others.
My true reason for joining the Army is that I grew up without the love and approval of a father figure and I desperately wanted to find that. I wonder if I am still acting out this desire for love and approval to this day, much like trump is acting out in an unattainable desire for the approval of his own distant and critical father. Maybe my deep desire to fight for justice and see this tyrannical regime deposed is just another outgrowth of me seeking the approval of my father, who has now been dead for 25 years.
During the 8th week of basic training we took our final PT test. If we passed we would graduate basic, get a weekend pass, and then come right back to the same place to start our infantry training. This is called OSUT or one station unit training. They do it this way for infantrymen because we’re so easy to train. We only get an additional 4 weeks of infantry specific training after graduating basic, whereas someone like a 35M Human Intelligence officer will go through an additional 18 weeks of job specific training after their 9 weeks in basic training.
I scored a 298 on this test, missing the maximum score of 300 by two points. I did 73 instead of 75 push-ups in two minutes. I was graded by my favorite Drill Sergeant, DS Wolfley. He was widely regarded as the most tough, most scary, and most sadistic DS in our entire company of 200 soldiers.
He was small in stature, probably 5’5” and only weighed 130 pounds. He looked to be in his mid 40s but I later learned he was only 28. He’d been on 2 combat deployments to Iraq, had earned the silver star for being shot in the chest by a bullet fired from an insurgent wielding an AK-47, but continuing to fight on the .50 cal he was manning. He had a sharp, wolf-like face(aptly named eh?) and prominent sharp-looking teeth, again reminiscent of a feral wolf. But to me, DS Wolfley was 7’ tall and could do no wrong. I worshipped him. I was proud that I was in the platoon with the meanest, baddest drill sergeant of them all.
After surviving the hell at 30th AG we arrived at our basic training company and experienced the “shark attack.” This is the classic scene in the movies where bewildered trainees are herded off the buses by screaming drill sergeants wearing big round campaign hats. The goal is to cause as much chaos and shock to the system as possible.
I thought this was great fun. Wow, this is exactly like the movies! This is so cool! Look at how red the face of this drill sergeant is as he yells at us! Looks like he’s going to have a stroke. This is SO REALISTIC!
DS Wolfley along with half a dozen other drill sergeants quickly singled out Greene. Greene was in his early 20s, wore thick glasses nicknamed BCGs(birth control goggles), the standard issue glasses of the US Army that all recruits had to wear. They’re named this because they’re so thick and so ugly that they make an effective form of birth control. I also wore a thick pair of BCGs. I hadn't gotten my eyes surgically fixed yet and was basically blind without them. I couldn’t even read the big E in an optometrist's office.
Greene stood about five and a half feet tall, was balding already despite his young age, and his most noticeable characteristic and why he’d been singled out by the drills, lead by DS Wolfley, was his weight. Green was FAT. I don’t even know how he made it past MEPS. There’s a very loose standard you’re supposed to meet before you’re shipped off to basic training. Greene clearly didn’t meet that standard and yet here he was.
I’d have this same recurring thought throughout training. “How the hell is this guy allowed to be in the Army?” There was another recruit that I’ll write about later, but I am certain that he was legitimately mentally handicapped. Yet in the end he would prove to be smarter than the rest of us.
DS Wolfley and his pack of sharks surrounded Greene and yelled conflicting orders at him. “GET DOWN! STAND UP! FRONT LEANING REST! STAND UP! NOW! MOVE YOUR ASS! FRONT LEANING REST! MOVE FASTER PRIVATE!” I watched with pity as the drills tore into Greene. He looked like such an innocent kid and I could see tears flowing down his face. He was having trouble breathing with the snot running out of his nose.. “ARE YOU CRYING FOR YOUR MOMMY GREENE? NO ONE’S GOING TO SAVE YOUR FAT ASS HERE! YOU BETTER QUIT RIGHT NOW!”
I felt pity but I felt relief more strongly. Their focus on Greene meant they were leaving me alone. This continued for the next few minutes. I ran to and fro in our bay trying to find my Army issued duffle bag filled with my Army issued uniforms and my Army issued socks and underwear. When every bag is the same OD green it’s hard to find the one with your last name stenciled on the side. When we hadn’t found our bags after the 30 seconds allotted to us the drill sergeants made us do push-ups. “FRONT LEANING REST POSITION, GO!” “PUSH!” I pushed. This was SO COOL. Just like Apocalypse now! I was in much better shape than most of the other recruits so the light exercise in the bay didn’t really phase me.
Greene, however, was not in good shape. His only shape was round, and his conditioning was zero. I watched in horror as he started to gag. Oh my god, he’s going to throw up. “DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE THROW UP ON MY FLOOR GREENE,” DS Wolfely screamed with his nose touching Greene’s nose. Spittle flew from Wolfley’s mouth and landed on Greene’s face.
Greene, horror painted vividly in his saucer plate soft brown eyes, opened his shirt and vomited inside his uniform. This seemed to mollify DS Wolfley. For a second I saw him drop his act and he looked taken aback. Maybe this was the first time he’d actually made a recruit throw up on the first day. This brief glimpse of humanity passed and then DS Wolfley was back in character. “YOU ARE WEAK GREENE! YOU ARE NOTHING! YOU WON’T MAKE IT! GO UP TO THE BAY AND CHANGE YOUR UNIFORM! YOU’VE GOT 3 MINUTES MOVE IT! MOVE IT! MOVE IT!”
I could fill an entire book just with stories of DS Wolfley. I wonder how he’s doing today. I hope he’s retired and sitting on some tropical beach having a good chuckle at all the kids he scared into being good soldiers. I have no doubt that his harsh persona saved some of the lives of the soldiers he trained. The old adage goes, sweat in training so you won’t bleed in combat.
I craved his approval and attention. I chose to stand in line with DS Wolfley on that day of the PT test because I knew he graded the hashest out of any of the drill sergeants and I wanted him to see how strong and fit I was. When I collapsed after 73 push-ups he looked at me with disdain and said, “you missed 300 by two points Jones, you piece of shit.”
Those simple words shattered me. I lost all my motivation to try hard for the rest of the training cycle. Before those simple words I was running up and down the stairs in our barracks at night to improve my cardio. I did extra sets of push-ups in the latrines after lights were out. DS Wolfley made us do a set of pull-ups after each meal. I did three sets.
All of that motivation vanished. I stopped even trying hard in our morning physical training sessions. My final PT test I scored a 283. Such is the power of not having a father figure as a child. Such is the power of feeling scorned by the person you idolized.
Fight Club
Did you know that white supremacists are holding fight clubs right now all across the US and the world? Did you know that they are recruiting new members to their terror cells under the guise of brotherhood and fellowship using combat sports as a shared bonding activity? A bonding activity that is also very practical because they are explicitly training themselves to fight the race war which they intend to spark off.
In the past several months, the Active Club Network, an international network of white supremacist groups that emphasize combat sport training and fitness to prevent so-called “white genocide” has established itself in Germany. At least twelve German groups are already active on social media, and the movement has plans to grow rapidly. Take a look to find out the strategy of the Active Club Network and why it has the potential to escalate in the German context. https://cemas.io/en/blog/active-clubs-in-germany/
An extreme right-wing group with links to a violent white supremacist collective has been recruiting young men to support its efforts to "revive" what it called England's "warrior culture" by masquerading as a sports club, a BBC investigation has found.
Active Club (AC), which hails World War Two Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as a hero, claims to be "peaceful and legal" and focus on male friendship and fitness.
However, it is connected to the Rise Above Movement (RAM), which played a key role in the Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

Right-wing extremism is a shape-shifting, rapidly evolving beast.
The latest form lures young men from mainstream society under the cover of training in sport or physical combat and fraternity.
They're known as Active Clubs.
The Counter Extremism Project says the goal of Active Clubs is "to build a shadow militia while evading law enforcement scrutiny".

Washington — White supremacists appear to have settled on a new strategy to grow their numbers and ready capable fighting forces across the United States, Canada and Europe while avoiding the scrutiny of law enforcement.
New research, presented Friday by the Counter Extremism Project (CEP), warns the past several months have seen a proliferation of small, loosely affiliated combat sports and fitness clubs — known as Active Clubs — that publicly advertise fitness, self-improvement and brotherhood.
But behind the scenes, researchers say, club members are pushing a white supremacist narrative geared at preparing members to take part in a potential race war.

I’ve trained combat sports off and on since 2009 now. Mostly I trained brazilian jiu jitsu in the US. I took up Muay Thai when I traveled to Thailand in 2023. Now Muay Thai is my all consuming passion. I truly love the art of eight limbs.
I mostly avoided MMA and those types of gyms in the US. I quit that first gym in Columbia, American Top Team, after a few months because the vibes were just not aligned with me. The gym felt SCARY. The people there felt violent and dangerous. It didn’t feel like a brotherhood where people wanted to train and better themselves. Like Greene, I felt sick to my stomach with anxiety before each training session. It felt like a testing ground where people pitted their egos against yours and tried their best to see if they could dominate you.
I’ve found this to be pretty typical for western combat sports gyms with BJJ gyms being the exception. BJJ has a more traditional martial arts lineage grounded in its roots of Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Judo. In BJJ you’re taught the traditional values of respecting and protecting your partners. You bow when you step onto and off the mats. You pay respect to your teachers. You’re taught to leave your ego at the door.
MMA gyms in the west have a totally different vibe in my experience. They’re dominated by ego and insecure men trying to prove their worth and strength. Sessions feel brutal and intense and have a dark vibe. People aren’t there to just have fun and train. People are there to TRAIN and be SERIOUS and be INTENSE. It feels like a comical parody where each person is trying to act more tough and more intense than the next.
I found Muay Thai in Thailand to be a breath of fresh air. The Thai trainers joke and laugh with you. They’ll sweep you to the mat and then laugh at you as you pick yourself up. The trainers have years of experience and hundreds of fights but they don’t need to prove their toughness to you. They’ll hug you and hug each other at the end of a round and they fill their gyms with light-hearted laughter. There’s no ego involved. Sparring is super light touching of gloves where people don’t hurt each other.
Training in Thailand is the most intense training I’ve ever undertaken. The afternoon sessions at my gym in Chiang Mai routinely last 3 hours. Each day starts with skipping rope, then shadow boxing, then you learn 3 new techniques and practice with your partner. After that you have three rounds of padwork, 3-5 rounds of bag-work, and 6-9 rounds of light sparring. Then fighters do 15 minutes of clinching, and finish with 100 teeps and 200 knees on the heavy bag. I have to drink a gallon of water with electrolyte packets added just to stay hydrated.
The key is though this training is all light hearted and not super serious. No one has anything to prove. You’d get laughed out of the gym if you came in with the super intense western attitude.
There’s a video where Tawanchai, Saenchai and Rodtang are wearing dresses. These are Muay Thai world champions and they’re so comfortable with their masculinity that they dressed up in drag and made a fun, light-hearted video. Their western fans went absolutely nuts, hurling homophobic slurs across social media platforms.
Through my training in combat sports I’ve bumped into quite a few folks who have right-wing leanings if not being full out white supremacists. It’s gotten worse over the years. I’ve even had people that I met in Thailand, who were perfectly friendly to me at the gym then attack me on Instagram after I posted anti-trump content. These were all Europeans, too!
A week before I left Chiang Mai in February I had a passing conversation with a British man. He looked to be of mixed race and was in his early 20s. He asked where I was from. “I grew up in the US, although I don’t plan to go back there now with all the political BS going on.” He responds with, “oh I bet you’re glad to get that senile Biden out of office.”
We talked a bit more where it became clear that his head was filled with right-wing talking points. This is a real phenomenon and danger amongst young men. If you’re not a young man, if you aren’t in the fitness, combat sports, military, and gun cultures then you might not realize just how radicalized and right-leaning the majority of young men have become. Let’s just say our sparring was a bit more hard than typical for Thailand that day.
It’s no wonder either. The only people speaking to young men are people like Joe Rogan, Andrew Tate, and Charlie Kirk. The things that young men are interested in, the traditional “masculine” hobbies are simply dominated by right-wing figures.
I am putting together plans to create positive content for these young men. I’m into fitness, I’m into gaming, I’m into combat sports, I’m into guns, I was a veteran, I was a firefighter. But I also support human rights for all humans. I support due process and I don’t support racism or bigotry. I support women's rights and the rights of trans and LGBTQ+. We need strong people who can capture the attention of these young men’s interests and influence them to take on the causes of humanity and not fall into the hateful ideologies of the white supremacist terror cells.
We need to show young men that you can love your hobbies and practice them in a non-toxic way. We need to show young men how to exist in this world and be truly secure in themselves and not this Temu brand of false masculinity which is really insecurity hiding behind bravado and lies.
This is what I’ve got for today. I thank you for reading all these excerpts which I plan to turn into a book about my life’s story. Please I implore you to take my warnings seriously. The white supremacist terrorists are organized. They are armed. They are WAITING for the greenlight from the trump admin before they unleash a wave of terror and violence that this country hasn’t seen since the first civil war. You must be aware of what is coming and take the proactive steps to defend yourselves and defend your communities. See the post I made last week about practical steps to prepare yourself for martial law/civil unrest on my SubStack.

Please write your book!! As fast as you can. Your POV is much needed, your life experience gives credibility, your writing style is highly readable. You are much needed and appreciated. Thank you for being here.
Thank you for all of this for explaining what is really going on with these kinds of fitness clubs and such. I had some sense that a lot of these were just roses or hot beds for that kind of extremist bullshit but I had no idea it was this organized and sophisticated already. I have two young boys myself in elementary school and it would kill me if they became like these men. I'm teaching them right now to be totally okay with wearing pink and flowers and glitter right along with all the monster trucks and dinosaurs. But already in their kindergarten elementary School they face gender stereotype bullshit from other classmates who are obviously not being brought up by very accepting parents. So important her parents to raise their children to be accepting loving kind people and it starts when their babies. Kids take the cues from their parents and if you're not showing that you're in an accepting kind person and you're pushing people into binaries and rigid constructs your kids are going to do the same thing.
