On July 11th a federal court put a temporary restraining order against ICE to stop them from racial profiling and violating the constitutional rights of residents of Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES – Today, a federal court found that the federal government’s ongoing immigration raids in Southern California and its denial of access to counsel for arrested immigrants likely violated the Constitution, and issued two temporary restraining orders (TRO) prohibiting the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), from continuing its unlawful actions in Los Angeles and surrounding counties.
On August 1st the 9th circuit upheld the TRO.
The ruling leaves in place a temporary restraining order barring masked and heavily armed agents from snatching people off the streets of Southern California without first establishing reasonable suspicion that they are in the U.S. illegally.
The ruling scolded the Department of Justice for “misreading” the restraining order it sought to block.

ICE activity quieted in the wake of the temporary restraining order. Their activity in the Los Angeles area shifted from the dramatic and visible raids of Home Depot parking lots to more targeted arrests, mostly of people in their vehicles who it appeared these agents targeted because they had removal orders.
Until yesterday. ICE is back to raiding the streets en-masse.
UPDATE: We have learned that one of the women taken is Sabrina Medina, a pregnant U.S. Citizen expecting twins from Huntington Park, whom Kristi Noem targeted and was present last month for a photo op. Agents at that time were looking for her husband and trying to enter her home without a warrant. They took her today on Alvarado and 8th after the Home Depot raid code-named "Trojan Horse."
Do you remember a video that circulated last month where ICE agents swept a home, as if they were in Iraq, showcasing their absolute incompetence in CQB? That was the home of Sabrina Medina, they were looking for her husband.
She’s a US citizen and pregnant. They have violently taken her into custody once again. On the scene they brutalized another US citizen for taking video of them and appear to have confiscated her phone.
This is DEEPLY TROUBLING
Aside from the violent displays put on by the masked secret police, this is deeply troubling because ICE is openly violating a federal court ordered TRO.
My read on this situation is that they stopped their broad sweeps in LA after the TRO was put in place. The lower level minions are obviously still concerned about legal repercussions from breaking the law. And then someone higher up ordered them to break the law, to violate the TRO, and start their mass sweeps once again.
I truly do not understand how every American isn’t in the streets every day. This is full out fascism. The leaders of this country have clearly demonstrated that they will not obey the laws or the lawful orders of judges.
This is called a dictatorship! When the executive branch ignores the constitution, the laws, and the orders of judges you have a dictatorship.
We’re not longer in the phase where we’re warning about what is to come. It has come. It is fully here. This is a blatant example of secret police willfully breaking the constituion, and ignoring the lawful orders of the federal courts. There are no more steps to the descent into full out dictatorship. This is it. We are here. This is FULL ON dictatorship.
The only question now is who are they going to target next and how long it will be before you make it onto the list of a gestapo agent.
Yes, we should be in the streets, every day. But complacent Americans don’t seem to be capable of that, so in the meantime, Let’s make some noise every day! At 6:00pm. We need to get organized. A 100 people showing up to resist these ice kidnappings is not even enough. We need a 1000 to completely overwhelmed the situation.
