U.S. Citizens Held at Gunpoint

This video is from May 6th in Houston, TX. An eerily similar situation to Lorenzo Salgado’s murder in Houston last week. The agent has his gun drawn, trained on the head of the driver.

Crossing the border without documentation is a misdemeanor and overstaying a visa is a civil offense, the same as a speeding ticket. So now imagine the next time you were pulled-over for doing 10mph over the speed limit the cops drew their weapon and killed you as soon as you pulled over. That’s what happened to Lorenzo Salgado.

Except the masked ICE agents that killed him first tried to run him off the road in an unmarked black SUV.

In January Maria Santay, a U.S. citizen and member of a community organizer was boxed in by ICE agents and held at gun-point before they smashed her windows and arrested her. She believes that ICE targeted her because of her work as a ICE observer.

That day Santay noticed ICE agents following her car. Fearing for her safety she drove toward the El Monte police station. Masked agents boxed her in, surrounded her car, and held her at gunpoint. El Monte police arrived due to the commotion but did nothing to stop Santay, who is a U.S. citizen, from being taken by immigration agents. She was released later that day and charged with resisting arrest.

Maria told me in a message today that all charges against her have been dropped.

On January 31st, the same day Maria Santay was taken in California, ICE chased down another U.S. citizen in St. Peter, Minnesota. The woman told MPR news that she had been out in her community taking videos of ICE.

Masked agents in three vehicles chased her and aggressively boxed her in. They held her at gunpoint and took her into one of their vehicles and were driving toward the Whipple Federal building. Her husband knew the St. Peter’s police chief and was able to get the chief to call ICE and intervene. The ICE agents then turned around and drove back to St. Peter where they dropped the woman off at the police station.

Like Cartel Carjackers

July 14th, VCDefensa reported that this agent stopped in the middle of a freeway off-ramp and sprayed OC into the air-intake of the car. It immediately made me think of a video out of Chile where carjackers attempt to stop a car on an freeway on-ramp. Federal law enforcement in the United States are now indistinguishable from cartel hitmen and car jackers.

ICE Agent Charged with Assault

ICE agent Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr was charged with two counts of felony assault in April for allegedly pointing his service weapon at two people in a car while illegally driving on the shoulder of a highway in Minneapolis during the ICE surge there.

According to the charging documents, Morgan told a Minnesota state patrol officer that he pulled up alongside the victim’s vehicle, drew his firearm and yelled: “Police. Stop.” The warrant says the victims couldn’t hear him because their windows were up.

Morgan was charged with two counts of assault because he threatened both people in the vehicle, and there is a warrant out for his arrest, Moriarty said.

Morgan turned himself into the Hinnepin County jail in June, and he’s also been barred by a judge from possessing a firearm or leaving the country while his case progresses.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, an unidentified male driver fired multiple shots at immigration enforcement agents who were apprehending an individual. The man immediately fled the scene. DHS also said people nearby threw a paint can and bricks at the agents' vehicles. The Chicago Police Department was called to clear the scene. They responded to the area for reports of shots fired, they said in a statement, adding that there are no reports of anyone being struck by gunfire. No arrests have been made. ICE backed off of their aggressive tactics toward activists after the murder of Renee Good and Alex Pretti but it looks like with this recent surge they’ve been let off the leash again. Three people have now been killed by ICE in 10 days. Lorenzo Salgado shot in the right abdomen, from the passenger side by ICE in Houston Texas on July 7th. Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero shot in the head by ICE in Biddeford, Maine on July 13th. And an yet unidentified 28 year old man in Florida who was struck and killed by a truck while being chased by ICE on the 14th.

Abolish ICE and prosecute all of these criminals.
