Portland, Oregon
On Aug 13, this unarmed veteran was tackled from behind by ICE agents in Portland, Oregon. There has been an ongoing and sustained protest at that facility for months now.
Washington, D.C.
On August 14th, 800 National Guard troops arrived in Washington DC and officially began their occupation of the city. On Monday, August 11th the regime placed the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department under federal control. Thousands of MPD and federal officers including FBI, DEA, ATF, and of course DHS and ICE are sweeping the streets of DC.
Troops are now deployed across D.C. including the National Mall and Union Station.

Los Angeles, California
On August 14th in Los Angeles one hundred ICE agents raided Little Tokyo. In full battle-rattle, with masks, threatening to detain citizens who filmed them. For all of this show of force they arrested one person.
The same day a man who was filmed handcuffed by ICE agents was struck by a vehicle and killed on the freeway. He was reportedly screaming for help from passing cars before he was struck. In the uncensored photos you can see that his hands are still cuffed behind his back as he lays dying on the freeway. No ICE agents appear in any of the videos of the aftermath, which means that they cuffed this man, he escaped their custody, they chased him, watched him get struck by a car, and then left without attempting to render aid.
That SAME DAY, August 14th, the Governor of California Gavin Newsom held a press conference announcing a November 4th election to vote on redistricting California in order to combat the redistricting efforts underway in Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Missouri in the GOP’s blatant attempt to legally steal the midterm elections.
Border Patrol Sector Chief Gregory Bovino and his little gang of Gestapo arrived outside of the venue where Newsom was speaking. This might be the most brazen fascist act seen since the deployment of active duty Marines to LA. A clear attempt of intimidation against a political rival by federal troops.
24 Hours
Remember, this all happened in a 24 hour period. So I ask you, is it really that bad? Can you look at these events with your own eyes and tell me with a straight face that this is still a democracy?
